Balsamic caramel onions

Ingredients
  

  • 3 large onions cut in thick slices
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp Mable syrup
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  •  Heat a pan over low heat melt butter, add onions and cook until tender
  • Quickly stir maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, salt and black pepper
  • Toss gently to blench
  • Serve immediately. Suitable for freezing
